Burlesque Bootcamp: INTRO SERIES
3 classes 1.5 hours 6:30-8:00pm
Learn how to shimmy, shake, bump and grind in this 3-week introductory series! Burlesque is an American invention that combines dance, parody, sensuality, theatricality and glamour with the removal of clothing. Classes will introduce you to burlesque history, classic burlesque dance moves, techniques of tease, and effects with costumes. This class is for all levels- novices, dabblers, burly-curious, daring dancers or budding starlets.
Trixie Little is an award winning acrobatic burlesque powerhouse who has been performing with The Evil Hate Monkey since 2002. She travels extensively and hasn't offered burlesque classes in Baltimore since 2007- don't miss out on this rare opportunity! More info here: www.trixielittle.com

Trixie is back in Baltimore this winter turning burlesque beginners into budding bombshells! In this series, you will be guided through Trixie's own process for creating a sexy and clever burlesque routine that will culminate in a live performance at The Ottobar! You'll learn how to bring creativity, theatricality, guts and glamour to the stage. This class is open to all levels and will help you craft your burlesque persona, take risks, embody your fantasy and own your own sexiness. An over view of burlesque costuming, hair and makeup will help you get started but you'll be required to purchase/make your own costumes and props.
Come to class dressed for movement with sexy shoes you can dance in. 3" heel or higher preferred.
